I was in my first year at UT when I started dating Jeri. A large carton arrived at my dorm address, it was a huge box of cookies baked by Edna, apparently she knew a shortcut to a young man's heart is through his stomach...my roommate Whitlow was extremely envious. The first time I visited Edna at her home in Lubbock I got treated to very fabulous Chinese Cuisine prepared by Edna. Her wonton soup was the best, right up alongside Aunt Geu's. Her steamed chicken was amazing. Her dim sum was perfect. I knew if I lived at her house I would get totally fat. One could not have a better mother in law. A few years ago I thanked her and Herb for having raised Jeri to be the love of my life. Richard
